Isn’t a good advocacy to run for school children to have their classroom this school year? I will run anyway. Why not choose an event that could spell the difference and make a your run worthwhile.
This is what FILA and Athletes In Action does.
FILA, the Italian Shoe company giant and AIA, an organization of athletes and volunteers which includes the Philippines that promotes the welfare of people through sports, will stage a Fun Run dubbed “Schools Run for School Rooms (SRSR)” on July 7, 2012 at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City.
Proceeds from the 15,000 registered runners will be used to rehabilitate classrooms in calamity-stricken communities of Iligan City in Mindanao which was recently hit by typhoons Pedring, Quiel and Sendong. This will benefit school children who still are not able to go to school because of the devastation that it had caused and are maybe using their makeshift classrooms.
AIA is partnering with the GMA Kapuso Foundation and iCare Foundation for the project with the former responsibility is to ensure that the children will have their classrooms.
The SRSR is co-presented by leading sportswear brand Fila with Sony, Gardenia, Cherifer, Oracare, Pocari, Treelizer and Air Conserve.
