I started running last 2011 but this is the first time I heard about an obstacle run. The Fat Run 2013 will have five physical challenges: speed ropes, balance beam and crawling, jump box, push up, and a wall wherein the participants will have to finish within an hour. This will be a combination of fun and challenges.
The Fat Run 2013 kicks off a two-stage program geared towards a healthier and better community starting with the running event on April 14 and culminating with the Taba Congress on July 26-28, both at the World Trade Center at Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.
It will surely be challenging and fun at the same time as you hurdle past all the obstacles you should ocus at the time as you should finish it at approximately one hour. It will be a total body workout while having fun.
Organizing the program is Dr. Claudine Roura, the first and only cosmetic surgein in the Philippines who is trained and certified to perform VASER High Definition Liposculpture.
The main beneficiary of the event is Child Haus, a temporary shelter for indigent patients coming from the different provinces afflicted with cancer or other dreaded disease and have no place to stay in Metro Manila while undergoing medical evaluation or treatment in government hospitals.
The Child Haus is run along the principles of hospice care and promotes the concept of holistic care healing, through its various programs, services and activities.
For sure it will be a success, because it is not only geared towards better health but also because of a higher purpose of its event, which is to help Child Haus to fund its activities which is to accommodate p to 100 residents all at the same time.
