How do you define LOVE?

Love can be explained by the three phases:

  1. EROS: it means passion or even lust. Can be described as a “take and take”attitude. It is selfish love since it only satisfy oneself. It should be nurtured and should be developed to reach the next phase.
  2. PHILIA: it means respect and can signify friendship. Can be described as a “give and take” attitude. It is a good foundation to further nurture the relationship.
  3. AGAPE: this stage is rather ideal since it requires sacrifice. It implies commitment. Can be described as “give a give” attitude. Only God has reached this highest form of unconditional love. Giving his only Son to save mankind.

We might not be able to reach AGAPE but that would not stop us from doing our own little way of showing unconditional love towards other people. Even in simple ways as just thinking of the needs of other people ahead of our own. We can start from there.

It feels better to be satisfied in providing happiness for other people than just thinking all about ourselves.

I like your ending phrase “It feels better to be satisfied in providing happiness for other people than just thinking all about ourselves”.

You are quite an anonymous to your readers because you have no picture who you are. Are you a Caucasian? You look mysterious, that’s why I am asking.

Again, keep inspiring the people, Admin – reading your other posts are a boost to life.
