“The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”
As Christmas approaches, events all over the places are visible. One of these events is the Philippine Blog Award.
In order to abreast what is happening in the blog commmunity, OFL attended the Philippine Blog Awards (PBA) last Dec. 12 at RCBC Plaza, Makati City – Philippines.
This event highlighted different facets of interests in blogging not just only beauty and fashion, food and travel, technology or personal. The said award have also categories in humor, politics, sports and photoblog.
Truly, as the theme encompasses “Beyond Blogging” – it evolved other fields that can share their opinions thru writings, photos, videos as they address how they feel. It is not now only visible via net but become part of the real world as most people interelate to different posts.
This event eventually give me the realization that you are not just one on what you believe in. You may vary with different interests but one thing for sure, there are people around like you who have the same objective – make difference in the community by giving the cyberspace the depth and substance of sharing.
Funny during the intro of the emcee, Gabe Mercado (who was in his pajama attire) quoted bloggers cannot survice without going online because some of them had their gadgets on (laptops, IPad) while watching the event.
Addicted or passionate as you may call but that is blogging all about – wherein what you are doing it is within your system already as you divert your focus as much as possible no matter what. No one dictates it to you as you simply love it and just keep on going.
We can say what we want to say even sometimes we include our personal view as we not only concentrate on writing the facts behind. Afterall, blogging is liberating. It is fulfilling in a way as no one never expected of it.
