life’s stress

“Stress is the trash of modern life – we all generate it but if you don’t dispose of it properly, it will pile up and overtake your life.”  ~Terri Guillemets

Just woke up in the morning, whoow, adrenalin already rushing you up on things to do  for the day – checking/answering huge inbox messages,  pile up paper works for review, projects to distribute, lot of  meetings/concerns, phone/text messages received, household errands and some other stuff that creeping to your mind.

How can you start the day if you are exhausted,  facing those predicaments and you feel you are already worn-out?

Your mind become to wander, fantasize how you love the weekend – imagining yourself in a vacation perhaps, just to take an air or just to get out of it.

C’mon, we need stress in our life.  Does this surprise you?  Without this, life is so dull and not exciting at all… Our stress add flavor, challenges and opportunity for us to grow.

But too much stress, nuhhh, this can perhaps affect our physical and mental well-being.  Distress came in like hypertension, migraine, stomach crumps or not doing it at all..

So how can we cope up with it?

To use stress in a positive way, be aware  on our own reactions to different  stressful events.   Learn how to “RELAX”.  Find activities that are good for your mental and physical well-being.

Control your feeling of being upset that cause stress.  Instead of being gloomy for everday’s traffic, this is one way to have time listening to the music and perhaps read a book.  After work during the long week, one can savor themselves to a walk in a park/mall and reward yourself by getting a bite to one of your comfort foods.  Physical exercise can also be one way of coping it up.

Be good to yourself – focus on relaxation, enjoyment and health. Life is what we made it – you better control it and perhaps enjoy it.  Make the stress in your life work for you instead of against you.
